Hello there! Let me tell you a little about myself. I moved to Hermosa Beach in 2009 from a small town in Minnesota and fell in love with the city and the wonderful people in this community. Waking up next to the blue ocean every morning inspires me to make each day count and to find passion in each of life’s moments.
I was given a Nikon DSLR as a gift from my parents, and after using it on auto for a year, decided it was time to figure out how to really put it to good use. While taking a course at a nearby school, the teacher told me I had a real gift. It was time for me to explore my talent. I decided to further my education and attended the Art Institute- North Hollywood. After a year of intense photography courses, I began to pursue my dreams.
One of my specialties is in family portraiture, with a focus in engagements, maternity, and newborns. I love being there to capture each special moment as your family grows. From in-home sessions, to finding the perfect locations around this gorgeous place, I’ll be there to document your family’s greatest milestones, leaving you with a gift that allows you to preserve a moment in time to share with your friends and family.
I also specialize in corporate shots. Your company might be hosting an event that you'd like to document or your staff simply needs new headshots; I can provide exemplary images and professionalism.
Nothing makes me happier than to hear you say, “I just can’t stop looking at my images.” Finding the perfect way to capture those memorable moments truly brings a smile to my face. I am humbled and grateful to be doing what I love, for wonderful people who value it, and become more than just clients - they become friends.
I am a teacher at the creative photo academy, teaching intermediate portraits and events. On my days off, you can find me riding my bike down the strand, enjoying the ocean, catching a Kings game, drinking wine, and munching cheese with my friends. I love lavender, cooking Mexican cuisine, and a nice cup of hot orange zest tea. I’m green, not the color… the movement. Although it might be interesting if a green photographer showed up at your session.
